After
a 22 year career in the public safety/law
enforcement field, Colette retired and decided
to find a new adventure in her life. During
these years, Colette planned as well as assisted
in planning many weddings, parties, events, and
receptions for family, friends, and co-workers.
At their urging and with their support, Colette
enrolled in a wedding and event planning course
in the continuing education department of the
University of Texas as
Arlington.
With this course, Colette obtained her
certification as a Professional Wedding Planner
through The Wedding Planning Institute.
In
her previous career in public service, Colette
has helped many people through some of the most
crisis filled times of their lives. With the
founding of A Silver Lining Weddings and Events,
Colette is now taking joy and pleasure in
helping people through the most joyous and
happiest day of their lives.
